The Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF), held annually in October at the Johan Cruijff Arena, stands out as a highlight. This event is a cornerstone of the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), featuring top-tier electronic dance music artists and the much-anticipated DJ Mag Top 100 DJs announcement. In 2025, AMF attracted over 600,000 attendees, solidifying its status as a global music hub.
Another notable event is the Awakenings Festival, a techno music extravaganza that takes place multiple times a year, including a summer edition in Spaarnwoude and a series of events during ADE at the Gashouder in Westergas.
Art Exhibitions: A Visual Feast
Art enthusiasts can immerse themselves in a variety of exhibitions across the city. The Moco Museum offers a blend of modern, contemporary, and street art, featuring works by renowned artists such as Banksy and emerging talents.
For those interested in digital art, the Fabrique des Lumières provides immersive experiences that combine art and technology, showcasing exhibitions like ‘Prehistoric Planet: Dinosaurs’ and ‘Monet + Rousseau.’
